Driving Range and Golf Course Netting

Commercial driving range netting is one of the most demanding netting applications we manufacture. A range net must stop a full-speed golf ball — exit velocities can exceed 150 mph from a driver — repeatedly, in panels that span hundreds of feet of width and height, exposed to continuous outdoor weather for years without the net losing its structural integrity or requiring constant maintenance.

West Coast Netting manufactures driving range netting in knotted polyester specifically selected for UV resistance, dimensional stability, and long service life under outdoor commercial conditions. Our standard driving range netting is available in 1 1/4-inch and 1 3/4-inch mesh in treated knotted polyester — the industry standard material for commercial range installations. Panel sizes are available in standard widths and heights, or custom-cut to your exact range dimensions.

For golf course boundary netting — the barrier panels installed along property lines, adjacent roads, or neighboring properties to contain errant shots — we build custom panels in any dimension with the height appropriate for the distances involved. Golf course boundary netting specifications vary considerably by hole layout and property line proximity, and all of our course netting is sized based on your specific configuration rather than a standard catalog panel.

We also supply golf course safety netting for specific on-course hazards: netting installed behind short par-3 greens where shots commonly fly beyond the green, netting protecting maintenance buildings, equipment storage areas, and cart paths from errant ball strikes, and perimeter netting for practice facilities adjacent to public areas.

Golf High Impact Netting

Standard golf netting is engineered to stop a ball at distance — a driving range panel is struck by balls that have traveled 50 to 300 yards and are decelerating. High impact golf netting is designed for close-range, repeated direct ball strikes at near-full velocity: simulator nets, bay dividers, and cage back walls where the golfer is hitting straight at the net from a distance of 6 to 15 feet.

The difference in loading on the netting is substantial. A standard range net panel receives distributed impact over a very large area. A simulator or cage net receives concentrated, repeated, direct impact in a small target zone at high velocity — conditions that will destroy standard netting in a short period. Our high impact golf netting is constructed from heavier-gauge polyester with reinforced knotted construction specifically rated for this type of loading.

Golf Simulator Netting

Our golf simulator netting is a popular choice for home and commercial simulator setups. It is available in custom widths and heights to fit any simulator enclosure, and can be used as the impact panel directly behind the projection screen or as a secondary safety net behind the screen to contain any balls that pass through or around it. For simulator setups using launch monitors only (without a projection screen), our high-impact net is the primary ball-stop surface and must be rated for direct-impact loading.

We also supply netting for golf simulator room enclosures — the side and ceiling panels that contain balls within the simulator room in the event of a mishit that clears the impact screen. Enclosure net dimensions are custom-built to match your room dimensions exactly.
