Baseball and Softball Backstop Netting
A baseball backstop is the most critical piece of fixed netting on any field. It stops foul tips and errant pitches behind home plate, protects spectators seated or standing behind the plate, and contains balls in the playing area during warm-ups and practice. At the youth level, a well-constructed backstop keeps games moving and reduces the constant ball-chasing that slows recreational play. At the high school, collegiate, and professional level, backstop netting is a safety requirement with specific height and coverage standards that must be met.
West Coast Netting manufactures custom baseball backstop netting systems in knotted polyester and SPECTRA. Our knotted polyester backstop panels — available in our standard K36 and heavy-duty K96 constructions — are the right choice for recreational fields, Little League complexes, parks and recreation installations, and high school and collegiate backstops that need to withstand years of outdoor use at a reasonable cost. Our SPECTRA backstop netting is the material of choice for minor league and major league facilities where the backstop takes extremely high-velocity ball impacts daily and must maintain its structural integrity under continuous loading.

A batting cage net needs to do one thing above everything else: contain a high-velocity batted ball without tearing, deforming, or degrading prematurely under repetitive impact. A cage that develops holes, sags, or frays before it should be replaced is a safety hazard and an operational nuisance. We build batting cage netting that holds up.
Our baseball and softball batting cage netting is available in knotted nylon and knotted polyester constructions in a range of ply ratings — from lighter-duty options for recreational or youth cage use to heavy-gauge commercial construction for indoor training facilities and academies where cages run all day, every day. Standard cage dimensions — 12x14x55, 12x12x55, and 14x14x70 tunnels — are available as finished panels. Any non-standard cage size, including oversized professional tunnels and oddly proportioned indoor facility spaces, is custom-built to your measurements.
For facilities constructing new batting cage complexes or retrofitting existing frames with new netting, we supply both the net panels and the hardware — pulleys, hooks, tie-back systems — needed for a clean, properly-tensioned installation. Our tie-back backstop netting system (TBB36) is a proven solution for high-use cage installations where the net must maintain consistent tension through repeated ball impacts and frequent player entry and exit.
